A. Yes! Do not use a face gasket when installing.
Q. How far from the heat must the steel flange be?
A. 15-18” is the minimum. The steel flange is made
to slip over a 90-degree elbow to get out of the way. Short of this we
suggest a very wet rag in front of flange.
Q. Can the EPDM rubber be replaced if burnt?
A. No. Another flange must be installed.
Q. Can we buy just the copper stub out?
A. Unfortunately no, liability issues restrict us
from selling just the copper stub out.
Q. What are the temperature ratings for CTS Copper
flanges?
A. The temperature ratings are –66 degrees – +272
degrees.
Q Do CTS Flanges have an IAPMO approval?
A. No, nor do any copper or brass flanges.
Q. Are CTS Flanges dielectric protected?
A. Yes, The EPDM rubber separates the dissimilar
metals.
Q. Can we use CTS Rolled Groove steel flanges with other
brands?
A. Yes CTS’ steel flanges can be used with all other
grooved brands.
